Highlighted Designs satisfies the needs of consumers
that wish to have a graphic design or web design project completed. The concept
came about at the beginning of 2006 by myself, Neil Almeida. I wanted to be able to
assist the public with my talent in graphic and web design.

I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in computers when I was in 8th grade,
when I first started to tinker around on the internet with my 28.8 dial-up modem.
The thought of being able to communicate and interact with people all around really
astounded me.

It wasn't until I reached my senior year in high school until I realized what
area of expertise I would like to be part of in the Information Technology industry.
Half of my senior year was spent at Collinsville Area Vocational Center
in Collinsville, Illinois, which is where I completed my vocational study on
Computer Applications. This class dabbled a little into the Microsoft Office Suite,
Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, HTML, JavaScript and
Adobe Photoshop. This is when I stumbled upon my love for graphic and web design.

After the completion of my senior year in 2002, I decided to enroll at
Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, IL during the following Spring semester in 2003.
Since then, I have received certificates in Web Design, Web Coding and Graphics Design,
an Associates in Applied Science Degree in Electronic Publishing Specialist and an
AAS Degree in Web Development and Administration.

I hope you all have enjoyed reading a little bit about the creation of
